July 2-5: Safeway Waterfront Blues Festival
Since 1988 the Oregon Food Bank has produced its largest fundraising event, the Safeway Waterfront Blues Festival. The festival features 50 performances on four stages including headline Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. Bring the family for the festivals spectacular 4th of July fireworks show!
July 3-5: Portland Craft Beer Festival
The Rose City welcomes the very first Portland Craft Beer Festival. The city is home to more breweries than any other city in the world! Attendees have the opportunity to taste hundreds of local beers and even volunteer to pour!
July 7 – Aug 20: Concerts in the Square
For the 25th year in a row, Pioneer Courthouse Square will host Noon Tunes Concert Series by 101.9 KINK. Concerts are every Tuesday and Thursday from 12pm – 1pm and feature dozens of artists. Eight of the concerts are completely free!
July 11: Mississippi Street Fair
The Mississippi Street Fair will feature over 200 local vendors, 6 stages and 40 plus bands. Grab a bite at the food carts and a drink at the fair’s beer garden. This event is open to all ages and is free!
July 17 – 19: Stumptown Cluster – Portland Kennel Club Dog Show
The Portland Expo Center hosts the Stumptown Cluster. Friday’s schedule boasts specialty breeds and Saturday & Sunday will include all other breeds. Bring the family—admission is free!
July 17 – 19: Sand in the City
Yoshida’s Sand in the City celebrates its 20th year of creating masterpieces in Portland’s Living Room! Each year, teams prepare in advance for the July sand castle competition. Over 150 tons of sand are poured onto the bricks where the giant sculptures slowly take shape. This event is free with a suggested donation.
July 24 – Aug 21: Flicks on the Bricks
Grab the kids and head to Pioneer Courthouse square for Flicks on the Bricks. The square is transformed into the City’s largest outdoor theatre and is completely free. Movies include: Raiders of the Lost Ark, Grease Sing-A-Long, The Breakfast Club, and Mrs. Doubtfire.
July 26: Lents Street Fair
The Lents Street Fair will commence with the Founder’s Day Parade at 11:15am. Live music, food vendors, draft beers, free bike repair, carnival games & bouncy house, a petting zoo, the Belmont goats, and a chicken beauty pageant can all be found at this local gathering!
