June 1-7: Festival of Flowers

Gather in Portland’s living room, Pioneer Courthouse Square, to experience the festival of flowers. Every year a local artist is selected to create a vibrant masterpiece on the bricks utilizing nearly 20,000 flowers. This year’s design by PLACE Studio is titled “Doughnut Trip”, and is a tribute to Portland’s Coffee & Doughnuts.


June 3-7: CityFair

This annual event located at Tom McCall Waterfront Park will feature food, beer, carnival rides & games, and Rozone music concerts.


June 3-7: Fleet Week

Since 1907 ships and submarines from the U.S Navy, U.S. Coast Guard and the Royal Canadian Navy have dropped anchor at the Portland Waterfront to visit the city. Over 100 years strong, Fleet Week celebrates all active and reserve military personnel and all veterans. Climb aboard and take a tour!


June 6-7: Dragon Boat Races

As a tradition for the last 26 years, The Rose Festival hosts yet again the Portland Rose Festival Dragon Boat Race. This race will be held on the Willamette River next to the Hawthorne Bridge. Watch more than 80 local and international teams compete in heats that are held every nine minutes!


June 12-14: Portland Fruit Beer Festival

Join the Portland Fruit Beer Festival for its 5th its fifth year! This event boasts the largest selection of fruit beers, food from local venders and music. Now with 40% more space, the festival welcomes all-ages!


June 13-14: Portland Pride Festival and Parade

This event celebrates equality and welcomes all! The festival and parade will be held on the same weekend. The parade commences at 11 a.m. Sunday at NW Park Ave. & W Burnside Street (see website for route). The Festival will be held at the Tom McCall Waterfront Park and features food, beverages and local vendors.


June 21: Father’s Day Cruise

Treat dad to a cruise on board the Portland Spirit for Father’s Day. This Sunday activity includes a private table, brunch buffet, a variety of beverages, dessert and a special treat for Dad! Multiple cruises are available on the Portland Spirit and the Columbia Gorge Sternwheeler.


June 21 – September: Oregon Zoo Summer Concerts

Grab your family and friends for one of the many concerts that the Oregon Zoo will be hosting. Enjoy great music by famous artists, food, and local beer & wine selections.  Admission includes day pass to the Zoo. Check out the new elephant enclosure!
