Christmas Festival of Lights
Presenting the sights, sounds and sensations of the season, The Grotto’s Christmas Festival of Lights is the largest Christmas choral festival in the world. The festival features nearly 160 indoor holiday concerts performed by many of the region’s finest school, church and civic choirs.
Don’t miss ZooLights at the Oregon Zoo! This winter festival features more than a million LED lights. The popular ZooLights Trains is back this year – take a ride through a never before seen light experience.
December 3 – 7 | Holiday Ale Festival
Held in the heart of downtown Portland, the Holiday Ale Festival keeps attendees warm and dry under a large clear top tent that covers Pioneer Courthouse Square while allowing for views of the city lights. Gas heaters create a cozy ambience under the boughs of one of the region’s largest decorated Christmas trees.
December 5 | Fremont Holiday Fest
Take a stroll around the beautiful Beaumont Village between 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm for the Fremont Holiday Fest. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be roaring down Fremont in a Portland Fire Truck at 3 pm. Enjoy the boutique shops, award winning restaurants, and family friendly atmosphere!
December 5 – 6 | Festival of Trees
Providence Festival of Trees is celebrating their 32nd year at the Oregon Convention Center. You won’t want to miss the 25 uniquely decorated and themed trees. You can also enjoy the beautiful wreaths, mini trees and other holiday items. Santa will be on hand for photo opportunities – decorate cookies, make holiday crafts and MORE!

Join Santa Claus and his elves for a magical ride behind Portland’s famous steam locomotives. Vintage rail cars transport you through wilderness in the heart of the city. This one hour round trip unforgettable ride starts and ends at Oaks Park Station.
December 10 – 14 | Walking with Dinosaurs
Internationally renowned designers have worked with scientists to create 20 life-size dinosaurs, including the terror of the ancient terrain, Tyrannosaurus rex!
