Oregon State Fair: September 1st – 5th

The Oregon State Fair celebrates over 150 years! Featuring new physical and visual enhancements that honor
the fair’s past and launches it into a new and exciting future. You’ll find a plethora of exhibitions & displays,
spirited competitions, attractions, animals, entertainment, and of course food and drink.


Art in the Pearl: September 3rd – 5th

Named one of the top 10 Arts and Crafts Festivals in the country, Art In The Pearl showcases music, art,
theater and activities for all ages. This Labor Day weekend festival spans the Northwest Portland Park blocks
and is completely free!


Tour de Lab: September 4th

Suit up in your best K9 attire or bring a stuffed pooch to the Lucky Lab’s Tour de Lab! This 19 mile or 40 mile
urban bike ride commences at the Lucky Labrador Brewing Company, tours multiple local pubs, and ends with a
costume contest, beers, and hotdogs. Organize a pack of three and you can ride for FREE!


Volunteer Expo: September 8th

The Standard Volunteer Expo returns to Pioneer Courthouse Square. This event features local nonprofits in
the Portland Metro Area that help match volunteers with organizations that fir their skills and interests.


Feast Portland: September 15th – 18th

Feast Portland invites you to join them on their quest to showcase the work and creativity that is driving
America’s food revolution. Now five years strong, this festival provides an endless array of beer, wine, cheese,
exquisite cuisine, culinary specialists and even cooking classes!


El Grito Festival: September 16th

Come gather in the Moda Center for the El Grito Festival. This event celebrates the independence of Mexico
and other Latin American countries from Spain and features authentic cuisine, Aztec dancers, live mariachi,
salsa, cumbia and much more!


Oregon Independent Film Festival: September 19th – 28th

The Oregon Independent Film Festival travels from Eugene to The Clinton Street Theatre in Portland
with over 70 films from 14 countries. The festival’s collection of new independent films will be screened by
audiences for over a week and will close with an award after-party!


American Indian Day Celebration: September 23rd

The Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board and other local Indian organizations invite you to join this
celebration at Pioneer Courthouse Square. Traditional dancers, drummers, musicians and artisans will fill the
space for all to enjoy!


Museum Day Live!: September 24th

Nineteen museums all over the state are offering free admission for two people! Visit the website for your free
